Obituary of Linda E. Whitaker

Linda E. Whitaker, age 71, of Volga, WV, died Saturday, July 17, 2021, at her home. She was born March 2, 1950, in Atlantic City, NJ, a daughter of the late Henry Male and Frieda Filer Gipson. On October 15, 1971, she married Denis C. Whitaker who survives of Volga. Also surviving is one daughter, Denise M. Dixon and husband Joe of NJ; one granddaughter, Isabella Somers and fiancé Anthony of NJ; one great grandson, Anthony; nieces, Tischa, Phyllis and Tonya; nephews, Vince, Keith and Mason and special family, Branca and Merill and families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by one son, Denis F. Snead and two sisters, Diana Flanigan and Johanna Philpott. Mrs. Whitaker owned her own Restaurant. She loved cooking and making anyone happy. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Lewis/Upshur Animal Shelter Humane Society.
