Obituary of Clara Jo Elmer

Clara Jo Elmer, age 81, of French Creek, WV, died Sunday July 4, 2021, at her home. She was born January 24, 1940, in Mannington, WV, a daughter of the late Wesley Newton “Newt” and Phyllis Clovis Wetzel. On September 24, 1957, she married Ralph Elmer, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Johnny Elmer of French Creek; two daughters, Judith Kay Elmer of French Creek and Anita Elmer of Piketon OH; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and one brother Lew Wetzel of Rachel, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana N. Elmer; four sisters, Ruth Toothman, Donna Glover, Luella Randolph, and Barb Vanhorn. Mrs. Elmer was a homemaker, a loving wife and mother who loved her family very much. In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated.
