Obituary of Patty L. Davis

Patty L. Davis, age 86, of French Creek, WV, died Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the Elkins Regional Convalescent Center in Elkins, WV. She was born September 4, 1934, in Preston County, WV, a daughter of the late Arthur Allen and Elsie Pearl Brown Hoffman. On April 10, 1954, she married Raymond Clarence Davis who preceded her in death on August 4, 2017. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eileen Hartman and Marion Feather; two brothers, John and Glenn Hoffman and a niece, Ruth Ann Kramer. She is survived by two sons, Mike Davis and wife Kelley of Rowlesburg, WV and Daniel Lee Davis and wife Lucille of Moore Haven, FL; one daughter, Beverly Ann Davis and husband David Taylor of French Creek; five grandsons, Eli and Jacob Davis both of Rowlesburg, Michael Davis and wife Mary and family, Jason Davis all of VA and Zachery Stout of Myrtle Beach; four granddaughters, Desiree Carlyle; and husband Dustin of Buckhannon, Cindy Andrews and husband Willie of VA, Christy Vankannon and husband Josh of TX and Hannah Pabst and husband Rudy of Myrtle Beach; eight great-granddaughters, Rylen and Finley Carlyle both of Buckhannon and Abigail Graham and partner Mark Fultz and family of VA, Allison Vankannon, Haley Madziarek of TX, Rylee Pabst of Myrtle Beach, Marley and Delilah Stout of West Virginia ; three great-grandsons, Ian Graham and Ocean Graham and wife Taylor all of VA, and Johnny Jauzems of TX; and one sister, Nancy Bowmar of Tunnelton, WV. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker, volunteered at the Rock Cave Elementary School, assisted with 4-H and girl scouts. She loved reading, quilting, sewing, baking, fishing, and swimming. She also enjoyed playing the piano and singing. Friends will be received Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
