Rudolph Warren “Butch” Lamb

Rudolph Warren “Butch” Lamb, age 74, of Ellamore, WV, died Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Mountain Memories Assisted Living and Retirement Home. He was born December 10, 1946, in Randolph County, WV, a son of the late Warren and Alverta Miller Lamb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Lamb and Sarah Ann Lamb. He is survived by two sisters, Clarcie Shaffer and husband Kenny of Ellamore and Regina Simmons and husband Edward of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Charles Joseph Lamb of Ellamore; four nieces, Heather Simmons of Charlotte, Jennifer Shaffer Gonzalez of Concord, NC, Pam Shaffer of Elkins, WV and Christina Waybright and husband Marty of Belington, WV; two nephews, KJ Shaffer of Ellamore and Charles Shaffer of Elkins; two great nieces, Brianna Waybright Esposito and husband Brian of U.S. Army, Germany and Aubrey K. Shaffer of Hodgesville, WV and one great nephew, Austin Waybright of Fort Campbell, TN. Mr. Lamb was a Coal Miner. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was a lifelong member of the NRA. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and Mountain Memories Assisted Living and Retirement Home. In honoring Mr. Lamb’s wishes he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 1 PM in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
