untitled1 Gladys G. Bond Gladys G. Bond, age 92, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at her home. She was born April 2, 1918 at Knawls Creek, WV a daughter of the late Robert L. and Nona D. Taylor Cayton. On February 21, 1943 she married Benjamin H. Bond who preceded her in death on February 8, 1998. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Wayne, Warren and infant brother Robert Cayton; one infant sister, Evelyn Cayton and a son-in-law, Charles W. Casto. She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia G. Casto of Buckhannon and Sharon K. Ours and husband Robert of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Melissa K. Stone and husband Mark; two great granddaughters, Diane and Angie Stone; one great great grandson, Landon Stone; one step granddaughter, Suzanne; one step grandson, Bobby; two step great granddaughters, Shanli and Shayla; and one sister, Sadie P. Lesure of Lodi, OH. Gladys attended Glenville State Teachers College and graduated from WVWC. She taught school in a one room schoolhouse at Lorentz, WV and Swamp Run, WV and retired from WV DHHR as a Social Worker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buckhannon. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
