Obituary of Vera Mae Canter

Vera Mae Canter, age 56, of Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, WV. She was born April 3, 1964, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Roger Lee “Doc” Canter and Ila Mae Burrows Carper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Bethany Ann Davis. She is survived by one sister, Rosie Lantz of Buckhannon; one daughter, Christina Hall of MO; seven grandchildren and four brothers, Roger Lee Canter, Jr. of Volga, WV, William Canter and wife Penelope of Aliquippa, PA, Michael Anthony Canter of Volga and Bobby Gene Canter of OH. Ms. Canter was a cashier. In honoring Ms. Canter’s wishes, she will be cremated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
