Obituary of Larry Branson Wolford

Larry Branson Wolford, age 52, of Weston, WV, died Friday, February 19, 2021, at his girlfriend’s home in Buckhannon, WV. He was born, February 4, 1969, in Cleveland, OH, the son of Thomas Wolford of Buckhannon who survives and the late Sylvia (Jean) Beckner Wolford. Also surviving are his girlfriend, Sue Riffle of Buckhannon; four daughters, Brandi Allen and husband Jeremy of Burnsville, WV, Stephanie Goff and significant other Joshua Bland of Weston, Jessica Butcher and husband Justin of Roanoke, WV and Lori Parsons and significant other Thomas Butcher of Weston; 16 grandchildren; three sisters, Vinnie Sprouse and husband Hansel of Weston, Sylvia Wolford of Buckhannon and Tanya Horn and husband Jonathan of Buckhannon; four brothers, Bobby Wolford, Terry Wolford, Gary Beckner and wife Mailey and Carroll Wolford and wife Betty all of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and four special friends, Randy Bowman, Bill Wolfe and David Bishop all of Buckhannon and Cathy Claypool of Roanoke. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carla Reed; two sisters, Patricia and Debora Jean Wolford, one brother, Thomas Aaron Wolford and former wife, Helen Wolford.  Mr. Wolford was a jack of all trades and a Christian by faith. He loved anything that took him outdoors, including hunting, fishing, hiking, gardening and mushroom hunting. Larry especially adored spending time with his grand babies. Friends will be received Friday, February 26, 2021, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
