Obituary of Evelyn June Beer Riffle

Evelyn June Beer Riffle Evelyn June Beer Riffle, age 87, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born June 8, 1928 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Forrest “Dutch” and Amy Pearl Craven Beer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Avis Reed and Judy Butcher and three brothers, Lyndon, Zane and Bob Beer. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Slaughter and husband John and Alesia Goodwin and Sonny Hardman all of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Tina Quinn and PJ, Shelley Trader and husband Eric and Katlyn Slaughter all of Buckhannon; one grandson, Jonathan Slaughter and wife Beth of Philippi, WV; four great-granddaughters, Courtney, Emily and Erica Trader and Kamry Reynolds all of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Kyle Reynolds of Buckhannon; one brother-in-law, Max Reed of Buckhannon; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Beer of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Riffle was a custodian for the Upshur County Board of Education and was best known for being a meat cutter at the Garden Fresh Super Market. She loved spending time with her family and raising flowers. Mrs. Riffle enjoyed riding around in her golf cart with her grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
