Obituary of Gary Maxwell Gibson

Gary Maxwell Gibson, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Holbrook Health Care Center in Buckhannon. He was born June 18, 1947, in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Gerald Brown and Goldie Irene Lewis Gibson. Surviving are his friends, Vera Reel and husband Richard of Buckhannon; three sisters, Patty Lemar, Barbara Oldaker and Hilda Holloway and his cousin, Darlene Hornbeck. Mr. Gibson was a Carpenter, a Mountaineer fan and loved watching football. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and enjoyed their Wednesday night dinners. He also loved puzzles, going on rides and going out to dinner. In honoring Mr. Gibson’s wishes, he will be cremated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
