TO: ALL FAMILY MEMBERS AND COUNTLESS FRIENDS OFJAMES "JIM" TREXEL McCARTNEY:
FROM: Greg and Karen Martie
When we learned of Jim's passing, we were truly saddened .. doesn't seem possible that he is gone. It was just in the recent years that we made his acquaintance .. brought together by our Model A and its' need for restoration.
Through the "grapevine" we heard of Jim McCartney, as being "the man" to get the restoration job done. Upon meeting Jim, we felt as though we'd known him all our lives. He did the mechanical restoration of our Model A. As time went by, he remained a source of inspiration and help. He was a wonderful, unique person .. one whom we will never forget. We are grateful that he was a friend. We'll miss him, as will all who knew him here, during his time on earth.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for James Trexel McCartney.

Please accept our deepest love and sympathies for our beloved friend, Admiral JT McCartney. Many great memories of Rendezvous, and especially the summer shoots on the farm. Many of our brothers and sisters are welcoming him home.
As long as I have longrifles with his barrels on them, he will be remembered in my family.

Kevin and Kathy my deepest condolences to you both, your Dad was amazing and always there when neighbors needed him, lived a lot of my childhood at your house, and yes just like JUDY said fondly called him Uncle Jim, saw him a year or so ago he thought I was JUDY of course but he was his usual smiling happy self. My prayers to you all. God Speed Jim
