Obituary of John Leet Wilder

John Leet Wilder, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, December 28, 2020 at his home. He was born October 15, 1940, in Hanover, NH, a son of the late Geneve Ware Wilder and John Wilder and step mother, Hannah Simpkens Wilder. In addition to his parents and step mother he was preceded in death by his special companion Carol Parks. He is survived by three cousins, Leet and Julie Ware both of Thetford, VT and Kim Ware of Winter Haven FL. Mr. Wilder will be greatly missed by his extended family, Deborah Metheny of Buckhannon, WV, Teresa Westfall and husband Mark of Buckhannon, Donna Wyman and husband Rod of Weston,WV, Cynthia Cunningham of FL, Kristi Davis and husband Robert of FL, and Karri Parks of Weston; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren. Mr. Wilder served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961, was a Union Brick Layer and played semi-pro baseball. Mr. Wilder was buried at Beechtown Cemetery in Frenchton, WV.
