Obituary of James Marvin Beer, II

James Marvin Beer, II, age 74, of Morgantown, WV, died December 20, 2020 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born July 20, 1946, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late James Marvin “Chub” Beer and Susan Katherine “Katy” Shahan Beer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Kent Beer, who passed away just a month prior to his brother. In February 1983, he married Barbara Eileen Assad who survives. Also surviving are two step daughters, Autumn Renee McDaniel and Amber Dawn Nearanzio; one step grandson, Calvin Rhineholt McDaniel, III and three step granddaughters, Aleena Renee McDaniel, Jasmine Dawn Martin and Jenna Louise Beeman. Mr. Beer was retired from the WV State Department of Highways where he worked as a Civil Engineer. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. In honoring Mr. Beer’s wishes he will be cremated.
