Obituary of Berlin L. "Bud" Thayer

Berlin L. “Bud” Thayer, age 79,  of Clarksburg, WV, died Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. He was born December 22, 1940, in Bergoo, WV, a son of the late Hoy L. and Geneva G. Brown Thayer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Yvonne M. Lawson. He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey C. Thayer of Clarksburg and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Thayer was an Electronics Engineer for WBOY TV and a Methodist by faith. He was an avid train enthusiast and loved to travel. Friends will be received Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 12 (noon) to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1 PM with Johnny Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Ellamore, WV.
