Dear Marie, Craig, Eric & family
Just a note to tell you I was shocked and saddened upon reading of Lancel's death in the newspaper. Seems such a short time ago he was helping me, as he always did, find "stuff" at the store. We always had great friendly conversation. We were in school together for a couple of years at Webster Springs High School then Dewey moved the family back to Buckhannon and I came back to B-U in 1971, with Craig playing for me later on, so we go way back in time. I didn't know he was ill. Please accept my sincere sorrow and condolences. Best wishes & Godspeed to all. Jim

Charlotte and I send our condolences and prayers to Marie and family. After knowing Lancel for many years and working with him for nearly twenty, I feel your loss also. Always enjoyed him and highly respected him. I will never forget how he would “light up with joy” anytime children came into the store. He would go straight to them stranger or not and play with, converse with, and usually end up holding them. I will always have many great memories of Lancel and his family. I’m so sorry that the current conditions would not allow me to visit with a clear conscience. My thoughts are with you!

The Class members of 1962 will always have fond memories of Lancel and shall miss him at our gatherings. Marie, your classmates send you love and many hugs during this time of loss. BU Class of 62.
