Sylvia Reed Sylvia Jane Reed Sylvia Jane Reed, age 89, of Tallmansville, WV died Monday, November 9, 2015 at her home. She was born March 22, 1926 in Valley Head, WV, a daughter of the late John and Ada Arbogast Sharp. On April 5, 1942 she married Lennie Reed who preceded her in death on November 24, 2012. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, David L. Reed; one daughter, Linda Carpenter; a son in law, Bennie Carpenter and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by four sons, Clyde Reed and wife Martha, Jerry Reed and wife Lorna, Danny Reed and wife Donna and Dana Reed and wife Sharoon all of Tallmansville; one daughter, Vicki Reed and husband Chuck of Buckhannon, WV; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great grandchildren; two sisters of OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Reed was a member of the WV Draft Horse and Mule Association and she loved to cook, sing and quilt. She was a homemaker and a member of The Way of Holiness Church. Friends will be received Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 5-9 PM at The Way of Holiness Church. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the church with Pastor Jerry Murrell and Pastor Frank Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery at Ten Mile, WV.
