What a talented person Bob was. I worked for the WV Chamber for 55 years & knew Bob well. He was always such a gentleman, very complimentary, energetic, and a great member serving in important positions. I am sure he will be missed by all who knew him. He seemed always to be happy & jovial. Prayers to his family in this time of loss. Maggie Poling. mpoling@suddenlink.net.

Bob was a good man, a man of integrity, a man highly respected by those who worked with and for him. His obituary brought back many memories of working with him at Bethlehem Mines. We never worked in the same coal division but I was around him on many Bethlehem trips and in meetings. He was always a friend and mentor to me. I knew Joe as well and didn't know he had passed. May God bless and give all the family comfort.

Dear Jeran Family. I have just learned of your loss and am utterly heartbroken. Another bright light has gone out with the loss now of both of your parents.
Bob loomed large as a friend and advisor to me for forty years, and I will always be grateful to him. We met through his indomitable wife when I was her student, and he always spoke to me as though I was an adult he took seriously. No mincing words, no patronizing, lots of twinkly good humour. Oh, that giggle. He and Lee get a lot of the credit for giving me the confidence to reach for the goals I have achieved in my life, and the three of us remained friends throughout. Every summer after Lee's passing we made sure to visit a few times, including watching WVU basketball games. I so regret not being able to last summer. Sigh. Never again will I be greeted with, "You're late." "But Bob, I said I'd be here mid-afternoon." "It's 3:05." Love, Beth Loughney

We are saddened to read of Bob’s passing. He was a dear friend of my late in-laws, Martha and Frank Feola, and his visits were always a highlight. We often visited with him on our visits to Buckhannon and we admired him greatly. Our deepest sympathies are extended to his family on their loss. He was a very good man.

To Bob's family, My heart is saddened to hear of the passing of our Buddy Bob. We got to know him while Lee was a resident on the unit and became extremely fond of Bob as well. "His girls" loved him. Whenever we went down to visit him on acute care during his last admission, he still called us "his girls". I know he was in a lot of pain and his body was letting him down and I am glad he is once again reunited with his beloved Lee. He was certainly devoted to her and that was such an inspiration. Bob gave me a picture of him in his letterman's sweater and even asked me if I still have it. I certainly do and I will always keep it. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Bob was a special friend to us on NCF.
