John Joseph Wasowicz, Jr., age 76, of Rock Cave, WV died Monday, March 23, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. He was born June 6, 1943 in New Jersey, a son of the late John Joseph and Elizabeth Wasowicz. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Edith A. Voznek of Rock Cave; one brother, Victor Wasowicz of NJ; one stepdaughter, Edith Haviland; two stepsons, Frank and Laszio Voznek and best friends, Lee Roy and Jane of Rock Cave. Mr. Wasowicz, Jr. served in the U. S. Marines and was a member of the White House Guards. He had the honor and privilege to be a part of the 21-gun salute for President John F. Kennedy’s funeral service. A private service will be held for Mr. Wasowicz, Jr. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
