Obituary of Jared Scott Harris

Jared Scott Harris, age 30, of French Creek, WV, died Thursday, March 12, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. He was born April 13, 1989, in Clarksburg, WV, a son of Randy Harris of Buckhannon and Amy Cook and husband Allen of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Lesley Pertz and husband Joshua of Jane Lew, WV; one nephew, Branson Pertz of Jane Lew; one niece, Emberlynn Pertz of Jane Lew; grandmother, Wanda Harris of Hughesville, MD and three aunts, Rhonda Baden and husband Matthew of Hughesville, Polly Southern and husband Roger of Bridgeport, WV and Jill Harman and husband Bob of Buckhannon. Jared was a Methodist by faith. He was a hard worker who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an entertainer, well liked by everyone. He didn’t know a stranger and was one of the funniest people. Friends will be received on Sunday, March 15, 2020, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 4 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Ellis Conley and the Rev. Helen R. Oates officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to the charity of your choice.
