Obituary of Herman Radcliff

Herman Radcliff Herman Radcliff, age 92, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at his home. He was born June 16, 1927, in Gilmer County, WV a son of the late Wilber and Alma Radcliff. On December 23, 1982, he married Daisey Bell Ables who preceded him in death on December 4, 2019. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived be one son, James Hitt of Martinsburg, WV; one daughter, Delores Carder and fiancé James Cates of Linn, WV; one step daughter, Linda Hitt and companion Thomas Murphy of Burnsville, WV; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother, Orville Radcliff and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Radcliff served as a wireman in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He retired as a bus mechanic from the Gilmer County Board of Education. In honoring Mr. Radcliff’s wishes, he will be cremated. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
