Obituary of Ray Franklin Rosencrance

Ray Franklin Rosencrance, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, December 14, 2019, at his home. He was born April 1, 1955, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Leland Rosencrance and Elma Anderson Rosencrance. On August 4, 1978, he married Mary Ann Stackpole of Buckhannon who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Randy Davis and wife Kelly of Homestead, FL, Scotty Rosencrance and wife Tara of Anstead, WV and Ray Rosencrance and wife Megan, Chris Rosencrance and Cody Rosencrance all of Buckhannon; many beautiful grandchildren; three brothers, Denver James Winans and wife Jane of Philippi, WV, Lee Ellwood Rosencrance of Junior, WV and Donald Junior Winans of Jackson, OH; four sisters, Donna Jo Weese and husband Gilbert of Jackson, Deloris Jean Wagner and husband Jim of Century, WV, Darlene Joy Murphy and husband Glenn and Kathleen Diane Suder and husband Ronnie all of Belington, WV and a special cousin, Jerry Anderson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald Winans and his sons, Joey and Brandon Rosencrance.  Mr. Rosencrance was a member of the Living Word Church of God in Buckhannon. Ray had a passion for helping others and emergency services. He was a former member of the Buckhannon Fire Department, Banks District and Warren District Fire Departments and the Barbour County EMS. He retired from the Upshur County EMS on December 25, 2017, as a CPR Driver with seven years of service. Friends will be received Wednesday, December 18, 2019, from 1 PM to 5 PM at the Living Word Church of God. A funeral service will be held at 5 PM with his two first born sons, Ray and Randy, officiating. In honoring Mr. Rosencrance’s wishes he will be cremated following the services.
