Obituary of Dr. Robert M. Post

Dr. Robert M. Post, age 84, of Seattle, WA, died Sunday, December 8, 2019, at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. He was born December 2, 1935, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Maynard and Estie Young Post. He is survived by his brother, Benjamin Post and wife Linda of Buckhannon; one niece, Christena Post of Leesburg, VA; one nephew, Rodney Post of San Mateo, CA; one great-nephew, Rylan Davis of Leesburg; several cousins and two special friends, Stephen Wood of Marblehead, MA and Lee Buxton of Seattle. Dr. Post was a Methodist by faith. He graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College and then received his doctorate from Ohio University in Athens, OH. Upon graduation from Ohio University he accepted a teaching position at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Post had a passion for the arts and traveling. He spent much of his free time traveling overseas and enjoying the theatre. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 20, 2019, at 1 PM at Buckhannon Memorial Park with the Rev.
