Obituary of Daisey Bell Radcliff
Daisey Bell Radcliff, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at her home. She was born November 27, 1933, a daughter of the late Walter and Vernia Peggs Ables. On December 23, 1982, she married Herman Radcliff who survives. Also surviving are, one son, James Hitt of Martinsburg, WV; two daughters, Delores Carder and fiancé James Cates of Roanoke, WV and Linda Hitt and companion Thomas Murphy of Burnsville, WV; five grandsons, Gary Carder, Jr. and companion Carolyn Murphy of Burnsville, Timothy Carder and wife Angie of Linn, WV, John Carder and fiancée Roberta Radcliff of Linn, James Hitt, II and companion Tina Clark of Martinsburg, and William Hitt and companion Megan Wooly of Martinsburg; three granddaughters, Ashley Harper and fiancé Craig Randolph of Glenville, WV, Amber Hitt and companion Wayne Woodson of Weston, WV and Mandy Miller of Martinsburg; eight great-grandsons, Dallas Carder of Burnsville, John Carder, II of Linn, Shawn Carder of Linn, Zackery Harper of Glenville, Tyler Harper of Glenville, Zane Woodson of Weston, James Hitt, III of Martinsburg and William Hitt of Martinsburg; six great-granddaughters, Taylor Carder of Glenville, Summer Carder of Glenville, Trinity Carder of Burnsville, Faith Ann Carder of Horner, WV, Georgia Woodson of Weston and Kimberly Miller of Martinsburg; five great-great-grandsons, Cohen Carder of Glenville, Linkon Carder of Glenville, Zander Carder of Horner, Desean Carder of WV and Jeremy Wooly of Martinsburg; four great-great granddaughter, Willow Carder of WV, Myla Radcliff of Linn, Kaylan Radcliff of Linn and Carly Hitt of Martinsburg; three sisters, Frankie Shunch of Wakeman, OH, Kathy Matthew of Duscamp, WV and Margaret Cutright of Elyria, OH and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Hitt; one grandson, Gregory Hitt; four brothers, Bernard, Ray, Shay and Orville Ables; one sister, Betty Harshbarger and her beloved dog Buffy. Mrs. Radcliff was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed gardening, canning, embroidery and was an excellent cook. She loved to sing and share stories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of her favorite past times was Sunday driving and sightseeing around WV with Herman “Poppy”.
