Obituary of Sandra Kay McNemar

Sandra Kay McNemar, age 74, of Waynesboro, TN, died Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. She was born October 9, 1944 in Weston, WV, a daughter of the late Betty Lou Sholes Conrad. On October 7, 1978 she married Jasper C. McNemar who preceded her in death on September 5, 1995. In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, David Scott “Scotty” McNemar; one great-granddaughter, Jada McNemar and one half-sister, Patricia Yoho. She is survived by three sons, Timothy and Robert McNemar both of Ripley, WV and Scott McNemar and wife Kathy of Petersburg, WV; two daughters, Janie Rodriguez and husband Guillermo “Bill” of Waynesboro, TN and Melissa Petrice of New York, NY; one step-son, Don McNemar and wife Nila of Petersburg; five grandsons, Stanley Wilt and significant other Kristen Bond, Kaleb McNemar and Michael McNemar and significant other Samantha Workman all of Buckhannon, WV and Zack and Jonathan McNemar both of Ripley; two granddaughters, Meghan Beavers and husband Joseph of Waynesboro, and Ashley Pierce of Parkersburg, WV; seven great-grandsons, Seth and Wesley Beavers both of Waynesboro, Walter “Bub” Brookover of Parkersburg, Brant Mills and Jase McNemar both of Buckhannon and Johnathan and Kayden McNemar both of Frederick, MD; one great-granddaughter, Isabella McNemar of Buckhannon; one half-brother, John McNemar and wife Sue of Buckhannon; one half-sister, Linda Pierce and husband Craig of Washington, WV and one sister-in-law, Isabelle Bailey of Parkersburg. Mrs. McNemar was a homemaker and a member of the Greenriver Baptist Church and Women’s American Legion Auxiliary Post # 130 in Waynesboro. She enjoyed live music, fishing, coloring, watching her soap operas and loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Friends will be received Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the J.B. Peterson Cemetery in Weston, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
