Obituary of Glenna Lynn Starkey

Glenna Lynn Starkey, age 67, of Rittman, OH died Wednesday, August 7, 2019, in Rittman. She was born June 5, 1952 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late Glendale Willard and Nellie Frances Smith Roby. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Joe Starkey; one grandson, Brandon Starkey; one great granddaughter, Arianna Maria Starkey and four sisters, Annabel Rucker, Martha Rice, Betty LaBarge and Joanne Launier. She is survived by one daughter, Lori Starkey of Rittman; one son Brian Starkey, Sr. And wife Florence of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Brian Wayne Starkey, Jr. of Buckhannon, Bret Starkey and wife Tiffany of Belington, WV, Brent Starkey and significant other Gracie of Clearfield, PA, Travis Michael Starkey of Buckhannon and Caleb Beckner of Lodi, OH; five granddaughters, Brianna Starkey and significant other Josh Smith of Buckhannon, Jennifer Marie and Sheyanne Starkey both of Volga, WV, Dustina Rowan and significant other Jeremy Swiger of Hodgesville, WV and Brittany Lynn Rowan-Casto of Buckhannon; three great grandsons, Samuel Beckner of Rock Cave, WV, Trenton Scott Swiger of Hodgesville and Bryson Beckner of Bridgeport, WV; three great granddaughters, Ariah Lynn and Erica Janet Starkey both of Clearfield and Dixie Rose Heckman of Volga; one sister, Helen Smith of Hodgesville; several nieces and nephews and many special friends in  Rittman and Buckhannon. Mrs. Starkey was a nursing aid and a Christian by faith. She loved reading romance novels, drinking Pepsi and smoking cigarettes. Glenna was an avid fan of watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies. Friends will be received Saturday, August 10, 2019, from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Waterloo Church Cemetery in French Creek, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
