Aunt Pat,
I wanted to come to the service but I have 2 appointments at UHC in Bridgeport for CAT SCAN/MRI tomorrow. I have to have my left knee replaced. Also MRI on the lower part of my back for bulging disks. You will all me in my thoughts & prayers tomorrow. I couldn't find the obit. Spike didn't have any phone numbers for anyone here. I called Gwynne & she was going to get some one to call me. I called the Buckhannon Police Depart. I spoke to a young girl & explained to her & she sent me the obit. I am sorry I can't be there. I sat last night & thought about when Spike & I came up to spend some time with you all & you fixed dinner for us.
I was in between my cancer treatments. You have a beautiful home & I enjoyed just being there. He was funny & could always make me laugh. You will always be my Aunt Pat the "Roller Derby Girl" & he will always be my Uncle Goog. He will be missed.
Love
Delores

My uncle, Harry Drost, was one of the finest men I have known in my life. He was the perfect example of what a man should be. He spoke his mind and never wavered in his love for family, America and in particular the United States Navy. My wife and I share the sorrow of his loss. We are indebted to him and my Aunt Pat Drost for the love and companionship we were fortunate enough to share on our trips to their home.
I will forever cherish the last trip when I sat with him and got a history lesson about his Naval service. I still have photos of him feeding the deer and turkeys in the back yard as Nancy and I sat in wonderment as he interacted with the wildlife.
Our hearts go out to Aunt Pat. 64 years of marriage in what my mother, Helen Sapp, described as the most perfect marriage she had ever seen. Mom always spoke of "Goog" whenever we spoke. She was worried because she said he was always hurting himself.
Our family lost a great man and our country lost a great patriot; something we seem to have too few of today.
Rest in peace Uncle Harry "Goog", Thank you for being the person you were; someone I always looked up to. Nancy and I both love you and will miss you forever.

The last Buck dad harvested Nov, 2018. He was unable to walk, but he used his walker to the front porch and shot, called me and went over on the tractor to take care of it for him. A treasured memory! Mike Drost
