Carl W. Reed, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, April 19, 2019, at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. He was born September 19, 1943, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Enoch W. and Minnie G. Lantz Reed. On November 21, 1986, he married Mabel McCoy of Buckhannon who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Betty Wolford and husband Carroll of Buckhannon  and Elizabeth Benedict and husband Bob of Medina, OH; three sons, David Reed and wife Shirley of Mansfield, OH, Billy Reed and wife Sherry of Holmesville, OH and Jimmie Reed and wife Darlene of Glenville, WV; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Chipps of VA and Ruth Johns of PA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Annabell Rucker; one daughter, Helen Wolford; four sisters, Gay Norman, Mae Ware, Mary Norman and Merle Miller and two brothers, Kenneth and William Reed. Mr. Reed was a truck driver. Friends will be received Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 1 PM with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
