Obituary of Donald Lynn Grubb, Sr.

Donald Lynn Grubb, Sr., age 64, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born June 6, 1954, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Cecil and Geneva Hinkle Grubb. On October, 31, 2014, he married Nancy Taylor, who survives. Also surviving are, one step son, Trevor Taylor and wife April of Morgantown; one step daughter, Iestyn Bright of Elkins, WV; three step grandsons, Beau Bright of Elkins and Caleb and Brooks Taylor both of Morgantown; twin sister, Donna “Sis” Matthews and husband Sonny of Buckhannon and sister, Margaret Wilcher of Buckhannon; one brother, Robert Grubb and wife Sheri of Morgantown; one brother-in-law, Mark Keister of Jekyll Island, GA; two nieces, Hollie McDaniels of Marlinton, WV and Kelley White of Weston, WV and five nephews, Dustin Gibson, Lynn Wilcher, Chad Wilcher, Timothy Grubb and Shawn Grubb. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Donald "Donnie" Lynn Grubb Jr. and his brother, Larry Grubb. Mr. Grubb was a truck driver and the owner of Grubb’s Trike-It Shop. He was a Methodist by faith. Don loved to ride motorcycles and adored his dog Bentley. Don had a heart of gold and was an organ donor. As his final gift, his final deed he was able to donate his corneas so another may see. In honoring Mr. Grubb’s wishes, he will be cremated. To celebrate Don’s life, Nancy and “Sis” are having a birthday party, June 6, 2019, at 5 PM at the Kesling Mill Lion’s Club. In lieu of flowers or gifts, bring a birthday card including your special, fond memories of Don (include your name, address and phone number on all cards). Pictures included would be wonderful.
