Obituary of Jimmy L. Russell

untitled3 Rev. Jimmy Lee Russell Rev. Jimmy Lee Russell, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, October 18, 2013 at his home. He was born January 30, 1949 in Buckhannon a son of Eva Arlene Simmons Russell Perine of Buckhannon and the late Bradford “Abe” Russell. On November 3, 1968 he married Martha J. Koon who survives. Also surviving are one son, Timothy Russell and wife Janilce of Coconut Creek, Fl; two daughters, Andrea Smith and husband Craig of Buckhannon and Tonya Solomon and husband Tim of Ft. Myers, FL; two grandsons, Caleb Russell of Coconut Creek and Joel Smith of Buckhannon; five granddaughters, Jasmine, Jacqueline, and Johnna Smith all of Buckhannon, Emma Solomon of Ft. Myers and Flavia Torres of Coconut Creek; three brothers, Bobby Russell and wife Debbie of Tallmansville, WV and Johnny Russell and wife Mary and Paul Russell all of Buckhannon; and one sister, Janice Jenkins and husband George of Hackers Creek, WV. Jimmy was a Supervisor for the WV Dept. Of Highways. He was a Ordained Minister in the WV District of the Pentecostal Church Of God and a member and Pastor of the Faith Tabernacle Church, on Stony Run, Buckhannon. He served in Vietnam with the US Army, and was a member of the Vietnam Helicopters Crew Members Assoc. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Monday, October 21, 2013 from 5-9 PM. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, October 22 at the Faith Tabernacle Church, with Pastor Lestor Boylen officiating. Burial will follow in the Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery, Ten Mile, WV, with the Upshur County Honor Guard providing Military Honors at the graveside.
