I remember seeing Jim at the Elks Lodge over 20 years ago on the night I made application for Membership. Through the next ten years Jim and I attended several District Deputy clinics together, more than a dozen state conventions, and even one National Convention in Philadelphia. We even went over to a farm over near Keres in Randolph County to pick up ramps for a dinner we had at the Lodge about ten or so years ago. Jim always left me with an interesting story or a little known or forgotten fact. He was impressed by my knowledge of trivial facts as I was with his. He was one of a kind! We will miss him!
