Obituary of Dale Junior Hunt

Dale Junior Hunt, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, February 23, 2019, at his home. He was born October 24, 1938, in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Harley Dale and Reta Mildred Lee Hunt. On March 28, 1959, he married Carolyn Marie Mahan who preceded him in death on December 27, 2010. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his step-granddaughter, Daisy Wease. He is survived by his son, Robert Dale Hunt and wife Daisy of Rock Cave, WV; one granddaughter, April Tenney and husband Amos of Ellamore, WV; one step-grandson, Scott Wease of De Leon Springs, FL; two great-grandsons, Jake and Parker Tenney of Ellamore; two step-great-grandsons, Private Charles Arrington of Ft. Drum, NY and Lucas Arrington of Weston, WV; three step-great-granddaughters, Grace Arrington of Weston, Hope Adkins of Fairmont, WV and Jade Wease of Shinnston, WV; one brother, Cecil Hunt and wife Cindy of Rock Cave; one sister, Imogene Howes and husband Harold of Rock Cave; two nephews, Michael Hunt of MD and Jason Howes and wife Sara Beth of Buckhannon; three nieces, Becca Hunt-Ford and husband Wayne of VA, Sarah Wood and husband Nick and Donna Snider and husband Rex all of Rock Cave and numerous great nieces and nephews. Mr. Hunt worked as a machinist for Moore Business Forms for over 25 years and attended Heaston Ridge United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Crisis and following that he was honored to serve in the military post office. Friends will be received Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 12 noon to 1 PM at the Heaston Ridge United Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM with the Rev. Sue Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Heaston Ridge Church Cemetery at Heaston Ridge, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
