To Stella’s family:
Stella was in the same grade with me at Truby Run (Elementary) School, and her parents were friends with mine. Tressie, her mother, was the cook at the school and my dad was the teacher when they started the hot lunch program. I lost touch with Stella for decades, but had a chance to see her again when I brought my parents to visit with Tressie and Stella when they lived together on Florida Street. Somewhere, I have photos of one of our visits there. I have fond memories of Stella, and I am happy she is going to be laid to rest at Mt Carmel, where I will also go when the time comes. My condolences to all of you.
