Jerry and family, I just heard the news about Eugene. I cannot tell you how sorry I am. No matter how many years had gone by without us seeing one another, when we did it was just like old times. The last time we met up was quite a few years ago and we laughed and talked forever about the old days on Thurman Avenue. He used to come visit when I left Buckhannon to work in DC. He gave me my nickname Legs. Lol. Still called me that the last time I saw him. I was just thinking about him the other day. This loss has touched my heart deeply. So wish we had kept in touch. My sympathies to your family. ❤

Jerry & family,
I was so sorry to learn of Wimpy's death. When we were in school, I knew him as the charismatic jokester. It wasn't until five years ago when we began working together on the reunion committee that I witnessed his empathy and generosity. May the memories you have of your time with him help sustain you in your grief.

My condolences and prayers for the family. Mr Linger will be remembered by all who knew him. I'm sure each person has a special memory of him. I remember him as a very sweet man who loved the nurses that treated him. When I worked in the VA store he always came in to buy chocolate covered cherries so he could treat the nurses or anyone else he met. He will definitely be missed.

Charles was such an inspiration, always had a smile, I always told him, if half the people in the world, would have his outlook on life, it would be a better place to live. He would always give me a hard time at the travel office, and just laugh. He will be missed greatly here at the VA. Prayers for the family. Rip Wimpy...Godspeed!
