Obituary of Forrest C. Wilt

Forrest C. “Buzzy” Wilt, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the Louis A. Johnson V. A. Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born October 30, 1939, in Tanner, WV, a son of the late Charles Chester and Opal Dale Snyder Wilt. On December 30, 1958, he married Frances Ruth Harper who preceded him in death on January 10, 2018. He is survived by two sons, Forrest “Chuck” Wilt, Jr. and wife Marissa of Buckhannon and Steven Wilt and wife Tammy of Crittenden, KY; one daughter, Lora Anne Hubbard and husband Michael of Colorado Springs, CO; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one on the way and one sister, Edwina Lee of Arapaho, OK. In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by his infant son, Jeffery Howard Wilt; son, Stanley Wilt; daughter, Melissa Wilt and brother, Joseph Wilt. Mr. Wilt was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Buckhannon, a Family Outreach Worker for the WV State Health Department and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Friends will be received Friday, October 26, 2018 from 11 AM to 2 PM at Liberty Baptist Church in Buckhannon. A funeral will follow at 2 PM with Pastor John Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will perform Military Honors at the gravesite.
