Shirley May Schudel, age 83, of Elkins, WV, died Friday, September 21, 2018 at Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins. She was born May 29, 1935 in Century, WV, a daughter of the late Clayton and Marie Pullen Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Edward Schudel and three brothers, David Lee, Thomas and Raymond Edwards. She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Mariotti and husband Jimmy of San Antonio, TX; one granddaughter, Kayla Mariotti of San Antonio; three sisters, Eleanor Ann Burr and Christine Payne both of Buckhannon and Judith Eidman of DE; nine nephews, David Burr and wife Sharon, Pat Burr and wife Jackie, Rick, Wesley, and Tommy Edwards all of Buckhannon, Tyler Edwards of Philippi, David Eidman of  DE,  Mark Edwards of SC and Christopher Payne of Century, WV and five nieces, Jonie Rice and husband Mark of San Antonio, Sheryl Eidman-Operchuck and husband Frank of MD, Debbie Eidman of DE, Shannon Edwards of Buckhannon and Nicole Robinson and husband Marvin of Philippi, WV. Mrs. Schudel was a Methodist by faith. She worked for several companies including Moore Business Forms, Lowie Glass and a variety of Restaurants in the area. Shirley had a great number of friends and will be missed by all. In honoring her wishes, Mrs. Schudel will be cremated. A graveside service will be held 12 Noon on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery in Philippi, WV with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
