Linda Kathryn Burner Stark

Linda Kathryn Burner Stark, of Buckhannon, West Virginia, born on March 23, 1946, in Huntington, West Virginia, passed away at the age of 72, on August 21, 2018, in Fairmont, West Virginia. Linda was the beloved wife of Timothy Stark who preceded her in death and partner of Willem Van der Meer. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Burner, mother, Hope Spears, step-father Earl Spears and sister, Jane Spears. Linda is survived by her sons, Britton and wife Christa Henderson; Dane and wife Carrie Stark; daughter, Megan and husband, Michael Bennett; brothers, Stephen Spears and wife Barbara Ingli and Fred Spears; grandchildren, Kayla and husband Shane Butler, Jolie Henderson, Christopher Leon, Julianna and Garrett Stark and Zach Bennett.  Linda worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Buckhannon in the radiology department as an X-ray technician.  After several years, her career then took her to Corhart Refractories, where she retired after many years of service as a quality control technician.  Linda was an avid supporter of community arts and especially enjoyed attending performances of her children and grandchildren.  Further, Linda loved sports and frequently cheered on her grandchildren in these endeavors as well.  She loved family above all else. Upon meeting Linda, people were consistently struck by her grace, beauty and kindness. When people came to know her, they learned she was all of those things without reservation and was gifted with an intellect that was unmatched on so many fronts.  To her credit, Linda always sought to uplift those in her presence.   We loved her.  She is free.  Friends and family members are invited to attend her memorial gathering on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Poling-St Clair Funeral Home, 95 S.
