Obituary of Harry Donald Sutherland

Harry Donald Sutherland, age 93, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Sherry Sellars Personal Care Home in Jane Lew, WV. He was born on June 22, 1925 in Bethel, VT, a son of the late Ralph Homer and Ann Mildred Sturk Sutherland. On October 6, 1947 he married Elizabeth Markis who preceded him in death. He is survived by three daughters, Christine Kalafat of Buckhannon, Karen Barrasso and husband Chester of NJ and Barbara Jannone and husband Michael of NJ; three sons, James Sutherland and wife Gloria of MN, Donald Scott Sutherland and wife Nancy of NC and Mark Sutherland and wife Beth of NJ; sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Sutherland was a Civil Engineer. In honoring Mr. Sutherland’s wishes, he will be cremated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
