I am so very sad to hear of Jackie's death. One of my dearest and most treasured friends from law school days.....as with so many others. Jackie loved everyone, was kind to all, even those who were undeserfving and was always patient and considerate. A real treasure. My most heartfelt condolences.......

It is with sorrow and happiness that I learn of the passing of my friend since 1970 or 71 - "JB". JB and Joanna lived across the hall from my roommate and I on Stewart Street in Morgantown and I would frequently prepare dinner for all of us. Through thick or thin there was always a unique laugh coming from within JB. Though our lives went in separation directions, I/we always maintained some sort of contact with each other. The years did not change our understanding and appreciation with each other. I have deep loss and sorrow for her passing as she took a little part of me with her. Dear Memories. I have happiness that her suffering is over. She endured more pain than anyone deserves. Rest in peace JB. My heart will always be with you.

My heart is so sad to hear this news, but happy for Jackie, who is now in a much more beautiful, loving place. She was a ray of sunshine at the law school. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Jackie was one of my best friends at the Law School. She would come out to the reception area and chat when she had a free minute. We remained friends even after I left the Law School. We talked often and she always kept me informed about David and his family. She was so proud of the time she spent with the family. We attended the Mountain Mush-N-Milk's together. When Jackie was able, we met with our other friend, Mary (Dunn) Phillips, at Jambie's and later at Eat N Park. Jackie never changed. Even when she was very sick, she would laugh about things we remembered. Jackie left this world much too soon, but she now has a new body and no more pain. I am glad to have met Jackie and will never forget her friendship. God Bless.

Jackie was such a wonderful, kind lady who was always helpful when a student (who may or may not have been me) crashed into her office in need of something. You will be missed Jackie.

From the first day I walked into the old law school, Jackie (and of course Agnes and Blanche) were so lovely, so helpful, so kind...and over the years, she became a real friend. Her personality was always upbeat and gracious! I am sure she will be deeply missed. I share the sadness with her family and many friends.

Jackie and I met in July 1968 when we both came to the “big city of Morgantown” from our humble country beginnings. On our first day at Morgantown Career College, we had to stand up and tell where we were from; imagine our surprise when we found out we were from the same general location just a few miles apart. We shared living quarters during that year of schooling and then became roommates for several years thereafter. When I gave birth to my son in 1988, Jackie was my coach and she was always happy that she got to see him before I did! We drifted apart for a while after that, but after my husband passed away in 2011 and then Jackie retired, our friendship was renewed and it was as if we’d never lost touch. She laughed at this “geographically challenged” friend and would often take different routes just to see if I’d know where I was – I didn’t but would say “Yes, I know, I’m here in the car with you!!” She wanted to take a last cruise somewhere. Wasn’t my thing, but told her I would save my money and we would go, but then she started getting ill and this didn’t happen. She would talk frequently of her trip to Hawaii with Dave & Sonya and family. How very much she enjoyed that trip.
Jackie always talked about how weak she was but I’d constantly remind her of how strong she was. I can just see her now dancing her way through the pearly gates. She was so excited to be able to dance at her niece’s wedding and now she can dance with no pain or fear of falling.
I’ll miss you dear friend, till we meet again.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29). Those who are raised to life on a restored paradise earth will have the prospect of never again being subjected to misery, sickness, and death (Revelation 21:4).
