Zylpha A. Newcome Zylpha Newcome Zylpha Newcome, 101, of Buckhannon, WV passed away on January 26, 2014 at home surrounded by family. Zylpha was born September 25, 1912 in Buckhannon to the late George and Della McCue. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, gardening, cooking, following her favorite baseball and football teams and spending time with her family and friends. Zylpha will be dearly missed by her loving daughter, Betty Gayle (Ed) Zickefoose of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Kim (Kurt) Grigsby, Pam (Paul) Gering, Chad (Sarah) Newcome, Brian (Lori) Newcome, and Matthew (Maggie) Newcome; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brittanie (Nathan), Dylan, Kyle, Kelsy, Brandon, Brooke, Abigail, and Kaylynn. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Newcome and son Roger Newcome. Friends may join the family for visitation Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Holly Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Camp Cemetery.
