Obituary of George F. Winspear

George F. Winspear, age 79, of  Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, July 8, 2018 at  Crestview Manor in Jane Lew, WV. He was born October 2, 1938 in New York, NY, a son of the late George G. and Aglae Gates Winspear. On May 21, 1961 he married Linda Westfall, who survives. He is also survived by relatives in New Jersey and North Carolina. Mr. Winspear was a graduate of Lakemont Academy in New York and West Virginia Wesleyan College. He was employed by Corhart Refractories, Fred Eberly Technical Center, and retired from Advance Auto Parts in Weston, WV. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was a member of the Rocky Ford United Methodist Church and the Rocky Ford Cemetery Association. In honoring Mr. Winspear’s wishes his body will be cremated. A celebration of life service will be held 1 PM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Rocky Ford United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Heavner officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rocky Ford Cemetery Association, in c/o of David Smith, 4037 Brushy Fork Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
