James Norman Flesher

James Norman Flesher, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV departed this life on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born April 13, 1940, in Weston, WV, a son of the late John and Helen Kniceley Flesher. On July 2, 1960, he married Leona Madora Biser who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, James “Jim” Flesher and wife Jennifer of Harrisville, WV; three grandsons, Wyatt, Garrett and Truett Flesher all of Harrisville; two brothers, Dana Flesher and wife Becky of Norton, OH and William Flesher and wife Elaine of McConnelsville, OH; three sisters, Mary McCoy and husband John of Ripley, WV and Sandra Barnett and husband Del and Ann Brown all of Weston; one sister-in-law, Sherry Flesher and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John “Jock” R. Flesher. Mr. Flesher was a devout family man and Christian and a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Buckhannon. He was an avid hunter and a car enthusiast. Mr. Flesher was a master craftsman and loved to fix anything that was broken. From the smallest of projects to the largest of projects, he loved to take on the challenge. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 10, 2018, from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Davis and Pastor Robert Perine officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorentz Cemetery in Lorentz, WV.
