Obituary of Emelean Quick

Emelean Quick, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at her home. She was born October 23, 1929, in Adrian, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Samuel and Hattie Dell Thompson Smith. On January 11, 1964, she married Donald B. Quick who preceded her in death on May 24, 1992. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Willard Smith; six sisters, Ethelean Bennett, Madeline and Pauline Phillips, Ilean Welch, Bethelean Stonebraker and Roselean Humphreys; one step daughter, Karen Quick; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. She is survived by two sons, David Carl Ringer and wife Lynda of San Antonio, TX and Paul Lee Ringer and wife Rhonda of Buckhannon; two daughters, Pamela Joy Hoover and Sondra Lynn Davidson and husband Ralph all of Buckhannon; one sister, Mabelean Osburn and husband Earl of Clarksburg, WV; two step sons, Charles Quick and wife Debbie and Arden Quick and wife Marylyn all of Buckhannon; one step daughter, Brenda Pennington of Thomas, WV; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Quick was a loving mother, grandmother and a homemaker. She was a member of the Independent United Brethren Church on Latham Street in Buckhannon. Friends will be received Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Junior Harris and Pastor Jason Depoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Church Cemetery in Buckhannon.
