Obituary of Iva May Snyder

Iva May Snyder, age 90, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins, WV. She was born March 1, 1928, in Barbour County, WV, a daughter of the late Marcellus and Sarah Blanche Townsend Swick. On August 7, 1959, she married Buford Lee Snyder who survives. Also surviving are her son, Kenny Wooddell and wife Teresa of Florida; two granddaughters, Valerie Everson and husband Clayton of Belington, WV and Letetia Hawkins and husband Nick of Buckhannon; one grandson, Christopher George of Fairmont, WV; three great-grandsons, Cameron and Dillon Everson of Belington and Matthew Hawkins of Buckhannon and one great-granddaughter Emma Hawkins of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Roger Wooddell and one daughter, Debra Addis. Mrs. Snyder was a purchasing agent at GC Murphy Co., and a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and the V.F.W. Post 3663 Ladies Auxiliary. Friends will be received May 18, 2018 from 10 AM to 11AM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will start at 11Am Friday with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
