Obituary of Susan Paulette Arey

Susan Paulette Arey, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born August 28, 1953 in Lewis County, WV, a daughter of the late Dale Flint and Carolyn Rosalie Lantz Riggs. Surviving are two sons, Scott Arey of Buckhannon and Timothy Arey and wife Janet of Laurel, MD; three grandsons, Ethan, Joshua and Tyler Arey all of Laurel; one granddaughter, Destiny Arey of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Mason Frye of Buckhannon; sister-in-law and best friend, Esther Arey of Buckhannon; friend and caregiver, Ashley Smallridge of Buckhannon; two brothers, Mark and Greg Riggs both of Buckhannon; two sisters, Robin Riggs of Buckhannon and Janie Riggs of OH; special cousins, Sharron and Nancy Edwards and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Arey was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. She was a member of the Women of the Moose #319 and enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, cooking and talking. She especially loved her dogs Scrappie and Kodi. In honoring her wishes Ms. Arey will be cremated. A private family memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
