Obituary of Bennie Harold Westfall

Bennie Harold Westfall, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at his home in Buckhannon. He was born January 31, 1935 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Freeman and Isephine Barker Westfall. On June 20, 1980 he married Alice Marie Smith who preceded him in death on May 10, 2007. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three sons, Michael Harold, Bradley Lee and Bernard Westfall; two step sons, Darrell “Butch” and Jimmy Hawkins and one brother, William Burton Westfall. He is survived by one son, Mark Westfall and wife Teresa of Buckhannon; one step daughter, Andrea Lynn Drapela and husband Larry of Leechburg, PA; five granddaughters, Whitney Powell and husband Scott of Buckhannon, Jenna and Sidney Westfall both of Bridgeport, WV, Jennifer and Jaeneka Westfall both of Buckhannon; four grandsons, Jason Westfall and wife Sheena of Volga, WV, Josh Westfall and wife Christina of Charleston, WV, Jordan Westfall and wife Brittany and Dalton Westfall all of Buckhannon; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two brothers, Jerry Freeman Westfall and wife Carol Ann of Weston, WV and David Allen Westfall and wife Carol of Hurricane, WV; one sister, Martha Jane Cerullo and husband James (Mike) of Buckhannon and two daughters-in-law, Libby Westfall of Volga and Jodi Westfall of Bridgeport. Mr. Westfall was a Christian by faith, a coal miner and served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Buckhannon Country Club where he was the club champion for several years. In honoring his wishes Mr. Westfall will be cremated. Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 1-3 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the memorial service beginning at 3 PM with Pastor Holly J. Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
