Obituary of Jerry L. Kimble

Jerry L. Kimble, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at his home. He was born December 8, 1942 in Petersburg, WV, a son of the late Herman L. and Bessie Virginia Alt Kimble. On December 30, 1965 he married Patricia Ann Cutright who preceded him in death on September 22, 2014. He is survived by two sons, Rodney Kimble and wife Marsha of Philippi, WV and J. B. Kimble and wife Megan of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Jansen Kimble of Buckhannon; one grandson, Hoyt Kimble of Buckhannon and two brothers, William Kimble and wife Sharon and Wayne Kimble and wife Diane all of Buckhannon. Mr. Kimble retired after 45 years of service in the oil & gas industry working for S.W. Jack. He attended Sand Run Baptist Church for the past 25 years, was a member of Create Buckhannon where he was active in Festival Fridays, a member of B.P.O.E. #1736, WV Classic Wheels, Upshur County Farm Preservation Board and was on the Board of Directors for the WV Strawberry Festival. Friends will be received Friday, April 27, 2018 from 5 PM to 8PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Mr. Kimble will Lie In State from 11 AM until 12 Noon at the Sand Run Baptist Church in Excelsior, WV. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon Saturday at the Church with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Cemetery in Excelsior. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Create Buckhannon P.O.
