Violet DeBarr, age 89, of Lost Creek, WV, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at River Oaks Nursing Home in Clarksburg, WV. She was born August 4, 1928 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Hobert Roy and Lottie Simmons Montgomery. On November 21, 1946 she married Eugene DeBarr who died on November 6, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Wayne and Claude Montgomery; one sister, Janet Black; two infant sisters, Leatrice and Shelby Montgomery. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Baker and husband Glen of Lost Creek and Shelia Grose and husband James of Salem, WV; three sons, Gary DeBarr and wife Martha of Lost Creek, Ronald DeBarr of Buckhannon and Rodney DeBarr of Charleston, WV; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Mrs. DeBarr was a homemaker and was a member of the United Evangelistic Mission of West Milford, WV. Graveside service will be held 1 PM Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Buckhannon with Pastor Ronnie Beeson officiating. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of River Oaks in Clarksburg.
