Norman “Leo” (MAC)McWilliams, 84, of Buckhannon, passed on March 8, 2018 after a lengthy battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Leo was born in Grafton, WV on September 28, 1933, the youngest of eight (8) children born to the late Dorsey Robert and Bessie Lucinda (Smith) McWilliams all of whom preceded him in death. He was united in marriage on April 11, 1952, to Virginia Ann (Bosley) McWilliams who survives. He is also survived by son Timothy McWilliams of Buckhannon; daughter Rita Yaun and husband Ed, and granddaughter Melinda Sanders and great granddaughter Kayla of Orlando, FL and granddaughter Haley Burton of North Palm Beach, FL; son, Mark McWilliams and wife Deanna, grandson Matthew of Palm City, FL; son, Jeff McWilliams and wife Jennifer and granddaughter Jordan and grandson Tyler of Birmingham, AL. He is survived by two (2) adopted granddaughters: Missy Callahan and husband Adam Tipton and great grandson Jamison of Greensboro, NC and Jessica Callahan Burns and husband Matt and great granddaughter Maddie and great grandson Caleb of Summersville, WV. Leo was retired from teaching machine shop at the Fred Eberle Vocational School in Buckhannon. Leo loved life and was always smiling, laughing and enjoyed his family, friends and neighbors. He had a passion for animals and was known throughout the Southeast for one of the premier kennels for Old English Bulldogs. The family would like to thank the many special neighbors and friends for prayers, food, phone calls, visits, and help running errands. Arrangements are being made through Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home and his body is being cremated for a family memorial service later this Summer.
