Irma St. Clair, age 65, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, April 14, 1984 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born December 22, 1918 in Greenwich, NY, a daughter of the late Walter Raymond and Sara Merriman Coulter Roberson. On November 6, 1943 she married Maxwell Conard St. Clair who survives. Also surviving are her step-mother, Helena Salyards of Penny Farms, FL; one son, Jeffery C. St. Clair and wife Kathy of Buckhannon; two daughters, Risë K. Segur and husband Denny of Rochester, NY and Denise A. Straight and husband Steve of Buckhannon; one grandson, Douglas Stephen Straight of Buckhannon and two granddaughters, Risë Beth Straight and Sarah Kathryn St.Clair both of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers. Mrs. St. Clair was a Registered Nurse and worked for the Upshur County Board of Education. She was member of the First United Methodist Church, Pythian Sisters Temple #134 and American Legion Post #7 Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. St. Clair served as a Communion Steward and was part of the United Methodist Women. Friends will be received Monday, April 16, 1984 from 2 PM to 9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Frank Shaffer, Jr. and Rev. Dr. Charles Godwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
