Obituary of Willard Raymond Light

Willard Raymond Light, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born March 4, 1945 in Buckhannon, a son of Catherine Black Light of Buckhannon and the late Sterling Light. On March 21, 1970, he married Mary Kay Zickefoose who preceded him in death on November 21, 2016. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two great-grandsons, Thomas and Timothy. He is survived by two sons, Willie R. Light and wife Judy and Ramon Light and wife Annett all of Buckhannon; one daughter, Teresa Ball and husband Andrew of Taylor County, WV; two grandsons, Patrick Light of Buckhannon and Zack Ball of Taylor County; three granddaughters, Amy and Beth Light both of Buckhannon and Suzie Light of Grafton, WV; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Light and wife Robin of Weston, WV and Melvin Light and wife Shelia of Buckhannon; one sister, Letha Light of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Willard was a truck driver and a member of the Sago Baptist Church. Friends will be received Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Sago Baptist Church Cemetery.
