Obituary of Frances Idell Mills

Frances Idell Mills, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. She was born September 22, 1933 in Upshur County, WV a daughter of Hartzel and Naomi Fox Montgomery. On May 24, 1951 she married Bobby W. Mills who preceded her in death on November 7, 2006. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two infant granddaughters, Julia and Sarah Phillips and a sister Mary Lamb. She is survived by two daughters, Donna S. Phillips and husband Dennis of Buckhannon and Sharon Posey of Dayton, VA; three sons, Gary Mills of Elkins, WV, Alan Mills and wife Carrie of Buckhannon and Bruce Mills and wife Pam of Fernwood, ID; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; one brother, David Montgomery and wife Donna of Rehoboth Beach, DE and her cat Midnight. Mrs. Mills was a homemaker, member of the Nays Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Sunset Rebekah Lodge of Sand Run. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Friends will be received Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Tallman and Rev. Doug Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Buckhannon.
